Shirley Roberson

Senior Associate Attorney

Shirley Roberson is a Senior Associate Attorney at DLHA, focusing on legal counsel for all aspects of business operations, including intellectual property licensing and development, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, privacy, regulatory compliance, product distribution and marketing, and employment. Shirley was a founding partner of a Seattle-based firm focused on consumer and commercial bankruptcies. Before attending law school, Shirley worked as a communications manager with a national satellite broadcasting company, driving projects that introduced local satellite programming, international programming, VOD, geography-based sports broadcasting and DVR technology to DIRECTV’s U.S. and international customer base.

Shirley has developed and managed complex intellectual property licensing for Fortune 100 companies, and she has led successful closings of multi-million dollar corporate financing transactions, mergers, and acquisitions. Shirley’s corporate and licensing work extends beyond the U.S. as she has managed legal matters for numerous international clients, including the developer and publisher of one of the top-selling mobile game applications.

She received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California at Davis, an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Long Beach and her JD from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. She frequently speaks at conferences and on panels about entity formation, business management, and corporate financing and she was an Adjunct Professor at Seattle University School of Law, teaching contract writing practical lab courses.
